Generational Frames

My grandmother, Marianne Noll, is a long time visual artist with an abundance of works of her own/in her collection. She recently gifted me a large amount of frames of various sizes and styles. These frames have resulted in me thinking about making art in a different way, I’m often trying to make a piece specifically for a frame. Often trying to think in an unconventional ratio and how I can use it to make a final piece.. This change in my creative process has resulted in new works that I never would have created otherwise.
